Effective Darkspot Remover: HBC Hortaleza Total Solution Perfecting Cream Review

I've tried a lot of product but none of them has been really effective for me. So while browsing in the internet and looking for dark spot/acne marks solution,  I bumped into Ms TheGlamorousYang's review from Youtube about Hortaleza Total Solution Perfecting Cream. I don't really remember how I got into her channel but I got interested to try the product.

I bought it from HBC outlet in Cubao for around 380PHP($8) for a 25g product. I think they also has a bigger container which costs at around 900-1000PHP. 

What it claims?

Hortaleza, M.D. Total Solution Perfecting Cream is a multi-benefit product that is formulated with skin lightening and sun protection active ingredients plus vitamin antioxidants to offer total solution for different skin needs. With regular use, skin is soft and radiantly glowing

I don't know if you are allergic to any of the ingredients but this is what the product contains

Aqua, Glycerin, Isopropyl Myristate, Sodium Palmitate, Glyceryl Monostearate, Paeonia suffroticosa Root Extract, Scutellaria baicalensis Root Extract, Saxrifaga sermentosa Root Extract, n-Acetyl- L-Tyrosine, Glutathione, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Kojic Acid, Sorbitol Liquid, Cetyl Alcohol, Propylene Glycol, Octyl Methoxycinnamate, Titanium Dioxide, Cocos nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Fragrance, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Imidazolidinyl Urea

Instructions:

After cleansing and toning, evenly apply on face and neck. Product may also be applied on other parts of the body such as elbows and underarms. Use in the morning and in the evening.

How I use the product?

First of all I have a combination-oily skin and also acne prone. 

I prefer to only use this at night because that is the best time where your face could get all the benefits from a product. It is really up to you how will you apply this, HBC site says that you can use it both in the morning and evening so I think it's also safe to use it in the morning

So what I do is cleanse/wash my face first, tone, moisturize and then I will apply this product. If you don't want to get your face whiten you could put it only on the affected area, that was the saleslady told me though. I apply it on my face focusing on the affected area. Sometimes. I also apply it on my underarms.  

When I wake up in the morning I can really feel the difference. 

PROS:

- It doesn't break me out

- It really does it job in fading my dark spot / acne marks

- A local product that has good quality.

- Expiration date indicated

CONS:

- a little bit drying

- the packaging may be a con for other cause you have to dip your finger into the product. You might want to cleanse your hands first or use a cotton buds to get the product.

- PHP 380 little bit expensive for a local product.

My Verdict:

I am using this product for almost 10 months and consumed 2 containers already. I didn't expect that much from this product, but it eventually fade my acne marks and now less visible. This does not instantly removed my acne marks overnight, really takes time and patience. :)

I don't have perfect skin. I still get acne every now and then but i'm not too bothered anymore. However, don't expect for this to heal your acne, it is not an acne solution product.

All in all I love how this product works and it is now a staple in my skin care routine. Definitely a must try.
